4Team Corporation has released Sync2 version 2.94, introducing improved compatibility with the latest Microsoft Office, enhanced installation guidance, and redesigned notification functionality.
New Outlook Detection During Installation
One of the key improvements in this release is automatic detection of the new Outlook during installation, along with clear instructions on how to switch back to classic Outlook when required for synchronization scenarios. This helps users avoid compatibility confusion introduced by Microsoft's newer Outlook versions.
Redesigned Windows Toast Notifications
The update also introduces newly designed Windows Toast Notifications, providing a more modern and user-friendly way to receive product updates and important Sync2-related notifications directly in Windows.
Compatibility with Latest Microsoft Technologies
Sync2 2.94 has been fully tested with the latest editions of Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 to ensure reliable synchronization performance across modern environments.

This update includes performance improvements and fixes related to Google Contacts and Tasks synchronization functionality.

Issues Fixed:

In some scenarios Google Contacts synchronization would fail to run due to Google authorization issues.

Some specific non-English language letters or characters used in Google Contacts were not synchronized correctly to Outlook Contacts.

Nickname field in Google Contacts sometimes was not synchronized into Outlook Contacts.

Tasks with status changed from Completed to any other were not synchronized from Outlook to Google.
The update fixes an issue where instant sync would not work on the application.

When using a Google profile, instant synchronization that starts synchronization as soon as certain number of changes is made in Microsoft Outlook would not work.
The update fixes a couple of issues that were found by customers and by our Team. The issues fixed in this update are mostly related to Google Contacts synchronization.
